Many people are being faced with an increase in the cost of arrangement fees, the fee that banks charge for arranging a mortgage.
However we weren’t prepared for Abbey’s massive arrangement fee costs - a whopping £9,999.
They reason that this is actually a fair price for mortgages over £500,000 compared to those lenders who charge say 2% of the house value.
Still compared to one Building Society who only charge £999, it makes you wonder who they are trying to kid.
