People seeking Debt Advice increasing

The Citizens Advice Bureau have reported an increase in the number of people asking for advice. The single most common problem seems to be debt.

People are very worried about mortgages and mortgage arrears, along with general debt from an increase in household bills.

Those seeking advice on debt problems has increased by 35% since last year.

It seems like the time has come for people to curb their spending and watch the pennies as costs go up for our everyday essentials such as food, fuel and household energy.

Funnily enough, despite this increase in people seeking debt advice, the amount we owe on credit cards has actually dropped by 9%.
