The New Year seems to be a good time to sit down and think about your finances. It always seems much clearer at the beginning of a fresh year, before life generally carries you away.
Before you start though you must make sure you are not in debt or owe money on loans or credit cards, as this will negate any interest you will earn on savings. You will be far better off putting savings to good use by repaying high interest borrowings first.
