After my recent post about the high cost of weddings, I have read this article that offers a few tips on how you can afford the wedding you want.

It may seem obvious, but it is surprising how quickly the costs can add up without you realising, especially if you don’t record everything you are spending money on.
I was flabbergasted to read that 40% of the wedding bill covers the cost of the reception when the rings and photos are probably the most lasting memories you will have of your big day.
It just shows how easy it is to get carried away as new ideas are suggested and more options and upgrades are added throughout the course of the planning. It also makes you realise that most weddings are generally planned with everybody else in mind.
